Account & Data Deletion

You are in control of your Find A Loo account. This page explains how to delete it and what happens to your data.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open Find A Loo on your device.
  2. Sign in if you aren't already.
  3. Go to Profile (bottom navigation).
  4. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete my account and data.
  5. Confirm. Deletion runs immediately.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email support@rx-net.com from the address tied to your account with the subject line "Delete my account". We respond within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days, subject to identity verification.

What gets deleted

  • Your account record and authentication credentials.
  • Your profile (display name, preferences).
  • Personal favourites and saved lists.
  • Your private device session data.

What may be retained

  • Public contributions (restroom entries, edits, votes, verifications, public notes) may remain in the dataset in anonymised form so the community map stays accurate. Your name and account link are removed.
  • Security logs and abuse records required to protect the Service may be retained for up to 12 months.
  • Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. tax, fraud prevention).

If you want a contribution removed entirely (not just anonymised), include the listing or comment URL in your email request.

Timing

In-app deletion is processed immediately. Email requests complete within 30 days. You'll get a confirmation when deletion finishes.

After deletion

Your account cannot be recovered. You can sign up again any time with the same or a different email.
